Press Brake Operator

Company located in Auburn is seeking a press brake operator.

QUALIFICATIONS
*Strong drawing interpretation skills including assembly drawings and PCM s
*Able to read and interpret metric and standard dimensioning
*Use of measuring equipment:
-calipers and height gauge (digital, dial, vernier)
-protractor
-vernier micrometer
-dial indicator
-tape measure and scale
*Strong math skills
*Able to recognize various materials
*Detail oriented
*Knowledge of industry standards and various specs
*Flat pattern development a +
*Use of CAD/CAM software a +

EXPERIENCE
*Minimum 3 years experience running a press brake
*Experience with NC or CNC press brakes is a +
*Experience with Amada press brakes is a +

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for:
*Setting an example by adhering to company policy
*Provide assistance to other personnel
*Continually upgrading the level and quality of technical understanding of both industry and processing techniques
*To follow production, distribution, and quality procedures and processes
*Meeting and exceeding annual production goals
*Help control inventory and rem tracking
*Note discrepancies on sales and purchase orders
*Quality of production - including on time delivery
*Presenting a positive corporate image
*Strive to adhere to ISO 9001:2000 policies and procedures
*Maintain a high commitment to excellence and a desire to express this excellence through high quality products
*Comply with all standards, requirements, and procedures

DUTIES
*Process and fabricate material, per instructions, on the purchase order
*Verify that requested processing on purchase order and job travelers match
*Mark and/or identify materials per policies and procedures
*Only use material from the selected location on the job traveler
*Execute or request a first article inspection, when applicable, with quality personnel
*Follow all applicable checklists
*Recommend any changes to increase productivity, including warehouse layout, and equipment, etc.
*Comply with management s plans and systems
*Identify and recommend new technologies, processes, and equipment that will enhance corporate growth and profitability
*Project a positive corporate image at all times
*Advise the Production Manager and/or the Shift Supervisor of any equipment failures, malfunctions, or problems
*Turn in completed paperwork
*Make sure that there is a clean and safe working environment at all times
*Attend safety and quality meetings, when deemed necessary
*Identify and segregate rejected or non conforming product per policies and procedures
*Work overtime as directed by the Production Manager and/or the Shift Supervisor
*Receive training, as required, per policies and procedures
*Have measuring equipment calibrated or replaced per policies and procedures
*Stop production on non-conforming issues
*Provide input back to the Production Manager and/or Shift Supervisor to increase and improve effective production goals and cost saving measures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
*Able to stand for extended periods of time.
*Able to lift up to 70lbs without assistance using proper lifting techniques.
